QR codes can be abused by others
QR codes themselves are neutral technology, but malicious actors sometimes place counterfeit codes over legitimate ones ("QR phishing" or "quishing"). Be cautious when scanning codes in public places, and never enter sensitive credentials after scanning a code you did not expect. We have no control over codes created by other people and cannot verify their safety.
